Ever wondered how boat skippers can keep in contact with their divers or have you been on a dive spent most of it worrying about being picked up at the end? Be safe with boat traffic or essential for Egypt live-aboard's and UK coastal diving. Then the Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) course is for you.

You will learn about the different types of buoys and reels and during the 2 qualifying dives you will practice bottom and mid water deployment of a Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB) and their use during a dive and on ascent.

Pre requisites- To get your SMB Diver qualification you should be at least 12 years old and possess aPADI Open Water Diver certification or Junior Open Water Diver certification.

Location- The course has an optional pool orientation session and then one day at our local dive venue - Cromhall.

Cost £95.00. This includes use of Seastyle school equipment (if required) crew pack and PADI certification.
The cost does not include transport or dive site entry fees
